Unfortunately, I was not able to remain at the conference due to a family emergency. I was to present: Learn the Power of Digital Notebooks, The Benefits of Zoho Office Suite from a users Perspective, and Student Engagement in the Digital Age. My presentation Materials can be found on my site: scottweidig.com

Rising needs but shrinking budget? Unfortunately, many schools are faced with the challenge of doing more with less. Join me bright and early Friday morning at 8:30am in Capital IV as I showcase free tools to help us save time and keep (or become!) organized.

I'll be presenting "Technology Without Breaking the Bank" on Friday from 10:35-11:25 in Capital IV. Learn how to incorporate quality technology without spending a lot of money. Both hardware and software will be discussed. Hope to see you there.

Start off Thursday at 8:30 a.m. in my session in Capital IV.

Find out why students from Illinois are in high demand as online pen pals for students learning English everywhere else in the world!

Our free projects enable powerful collaborations, helping you meet the NETS standards and engaging students in authentic literacy activities, science data collection (in metrics elsewhere!), and more.

Hi all,

Very excited to present at IETC on Friday. I'll be covering Copyright and Fair Use issues in the morning -- hopefully more exciting than it sounds -- Google Apps in the classroom afterward, and co-presenting on Blogging in the Classroom that afternoon.

Thursday morning at 9:30 in the Springfield room we will be presenting on Student Response Systems (clickers.) Get a feeling for how they can transform the classroom by using one during the presentation. The TurningPoint clickers will be used. We will discuss them as well as the SMART clicker system and how we have successfully integrated them in our math class as well as other classes in the school.

My session is a hands-on introduction to Scratch, an animation program that allows you to create and share your own interactive stories, games, and art. See there site at http://scratch.mit.edu/. Download the program to your Mac or PC from the Home page. Click on the support tab and download the Get Started, Reference Guide, and Cards. Sign-up for an account to share your creations.
